I think my body is catching up on all the lost sleep it has gone through for the whole year. I have slept more hours yesterday than I did since in who knows how long.

To everyone, have a belated Merry Christmas and a wonderful, blessed Happy New Year 2010 ahead!

Supermarket Fantasy: Mr Children Live @ Tokyo Dome 12/26

It was refreshing to watch a concert at the Dome where there were no screaming girls waving uchiwas and penlights. In fact, penlights were prohibited at this gig. It was 2hrs and 15 mins of pure singing and jamming, with a short MC or two thrown in here and there. When it was time for Sakurai-san to speak, every one shut up and listened, there were no yells of 'SAKURAI-SAN~~~~' etc. In other words, it was all very adult. The screaming at Johnny-type concerts are a must, but what a nice change to listen to something other than idols trying to croak, preen and strut all at the same time fangirls are yelling at the top of their lungs.

No need to worry about whether the person on stage will go out of tune (some people are more susceptible to singing out of tune than others, we all know the usual suspects) and there are times when the audience will await with abated breath to see if the subject in question is having a good day singing on the stage or not. (if not, there is always lip syching to the rescue) XD

Well, one doesn't have to worry about such trival griviences with Mr Children. Sakurai-san usually hits the right notes. :)   I get the impression that the band takes great pride in being musicians, that is why they don't allow uchiwas or penlights of the idol sort. (snort). The sound system was pretty good also, with johnnys, the speakers are set in the front, on stage. Tough if you are sitting waaaaaayyy  up in a heavenly seat. you just have to open your ears and strain you neck , especially during MCs.  At today's concert, there were 4 towers of speakers -  laid out at strategic intervals across the arena and climbing as high as the 2nd floor, gates 40 and 41, to make sure that, at even the most 天井 of お席 (seats), the sound quality was not compromised.

There were 3 giant screens on the main stage, most of the time, there were showing anmie scenes or some abstract art, very simple but classic.

The only pyrotechnics that was even remotely close to a JE concert was a blast of hanabi somewhere near the start of the concert. The other amazing thing was that this concert was even brought live to people who subscribed to WOW channel. I can't imagine Johnnys or any other artist doing that.

After attending the arena tours in Nagano earlier this year, somehow, today's concert was more energetic and had more oomph. Maybe it was those powerful, big ass speakers they had, maybe it was the fact that the audience was more hyped up. I don't know enough about Mr Children concerts to judge or tell the differences, but I had a great time, all in all. (how stress free and light-weighted I felt going to the concert - I left my usual arsenal of concert weapons at home: uchiwas, penlights, Sho towel - all unnecessary!!)  ^ ^v

First, it was 3 members of TVXQ.

A few days ago, it was Han Geng - the only Chinese member of Super Junior and leader of Super Junior M.

I already heard about the rumoured 5 other members and now more "news" of it appeared.

Heck! If it is true, that makes 9 members from 2 of the top boy bands in S.Korea suing SME.

SME ah! Don't you see there is something wrong somewhere there?

So when are the girls joining in?

I doubt anyone else would let this opportunity flee.

Today was a very taxing day just to register for my Japanese class next year.

Registration starts from 2:30 so I dropped down at about 3:30. By then, a few of my friends already registered and were waiting for me and Kia so that we can all go makan together.

When we arrived, we were looking around for the form to fill up. Our friends said to get from the counter. We went to the counter and the aunty was busy handling another student so we waited... and waited... and waited.

Finally, that student left and we asked her for the form. She told us to go to the classroom to check for the class. Once again, we went back in even though we already knew which class we wanted (still no form in hand).

Went back out, she is entertaining another student, who was taking their own sweet time again. So we asked another aunty at the counter for the form. This aunty said, "Ah my colleague is in there, get the form from him."

Back into the class and asked the uncle who then said, "Get the form from the counter."

Huh! What? Again!

When we FINALLY got the form and chose our class, we went back to the counter and hand it to that first aunty who was handling all the registration transaction. I had a cheque in hand to pay the full amount as what I have always done.

Suddenly she informed us, "Oh! Because of the new government policy for private schools, we cannot accept amounts over a certain sum. Please pay for the first semester only."

"But I got cheque for full payment!"

"Cannot accept!"

"Full lei. FULL!"

"No, no. First semester only."

...

Seriously, I wanted to choke a bitch right there and then.

Had to borrow off Kia to pay for the first semester because I do not cart around $200 in my wallet else I spend it all on food at one go.

The full payment is not that much either. Whole year is $527. And she does not want it!!! Anyway, if she accepted it, I have to fork out another $12 for some insurance fee (what kind of new policy is this i cannot fathom) which I am also willing to give but no, aunty does not want my extra money either.

The rest of the day I keep lamenting on, "Why? Why doesn't she want my money? I told her to take. TAKE MY MONEY! And she still doesn't want it. Is the money bad? My poor wasted cheque."

ps. lao beng ah! i still like you haha. do what you have to do lah. then come singapore and find me =P

vol 47 '2009'

Hello.

its me.

unless a special event occurs which I should write about, this will be my last entry for this year.

The year opened with 'Yatterman' and 2009 has turned out to be a very fulfilling 10th year.

Its written in the rap lyrics which I wrote, and I sincerely think (why its been fulfilling) that its all due to all the people who have supported us and followed us.

We both have been very busy, huh. (laughs)

Thank you so much for all your support.

We will make a new start next year again.

Please continue to support us next year too.  m(_ _)m

I humbly thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Ok, let's talk about what's been happening recently.

About a month ago, I bought a humidifier and put it at the side of my bed.

One day, I discovered that there was this small word written on it:

'aroma'

I was wondering what this classy little space on the humidifier was for........

When I checked the manual, it said that when aroma oil is dropped on it, a nice smell will be emitted along with the steam.

I thought 'I should use this' and quickly went to buy aroma oil.

In the midst of a huge selection of aroma oils, I decided on the 'Frangrance of the Forest' aroma oil for its healing properties.

(Your nose gets pretty confused in the process of selecting an aroma oil, doesn't it? So in the end, one has a tendency to choose the first aroma oil that leaves a good impression on oneself. And you do get influenced by the explanations which are written about the aroma oil in question.)

So I quickly went home, and dropped the aroma oil onto my humidifier.
Since I dropped the oil before I took my bath, when it was time for me to sleep, the soothing smells of the aroma oil wafted through the air.

Yes, this is very tasteful. kekeke.

I was very pleased.

But...........

I have discovered something just now, after using this for one month.

When i am sleeping, I totally cannot smell anything.

Well, that's because I am sleeping.

Well I guess that is an understatement.

Of course, the aroma oil is to calm you down until you fall asleep.

Well, that is the job of the aroma oil, isn't it?

.. well in that sense, the aroma oil has done a splendid job.

So I bought another 'aroma product'. This time, it was something to use in the car, which I spend most of the time travelling around in.

When the aroma product is stuck into its socket, the whole car is filled with a wonderful smell.

So now, I am writing this entry, engulfed in citrus smells.

Well, things have been happening here and there.

This little healing therapy has been going on every day, in tandem with the Kabachi filming.

The days are cold and please take care of yourself so that you will not catch a cold.
(↑you write this again, at the end, Sakurai)

Merry Christmas

I am home!! (and stuffing my face) ^ ^ This amused me for some reason. The only reason why I wanted to try this is that this stall is named Masamune. But I had the Fried Hokkien Mee instead, a couple of stalls down. ^  ^ Anyone tried this fish soup before?! Food Republic, Wisma Atria.
